- Completed. Lubricated shift linkage going thru transmission as well.
- There was a broken bolt on shift bracket. Removed and ground off welded on nut. enlarge hole to accept a 5/16 bolt. Reattached and tightened bracket to transmission and shift cable. adjusted cable and verified operation.
- verified not able to get into gear. the shifter has a loose and tight feeling. removed breather box and found a shifter bracket is loose and needs repair but also the shifter lever on transmission is difficult to move. was able to get into each range with a prior bar. test drove and verified transmission does shift OK. Suspect the there is rust buildup on shifter shaft and switch. provided estiamte for expected repair but may change as work is started.
