  • -RF brake shield contacting rotor. adjusted backing plate. Brake linings below recommendation for replacement. Pads cracking. -Front sway bar links very losse and making a clunk rattle noise on small bumps. -RF outer tie rod with minor play and movement. -noticed the car started hard one time. -RF turn signal lens is missing. -tires are dry checked on three of tires. with all wheel drive it is important to keep tread depths even with tire rotations. Also noted slight bend in RF rim.
  • SES light on for P0420 for catalytic converter fault and P0456 for small evap leak. Test of catalytic converter showed that it is failing and will reset code. will require replacing the catalytic converter to keep code away. the evap leak may be for a loose gas cap and did not test system at this time. -ABS codes also stored but not telltale on currently. code was for a RR wheel speed sensor intermittent issue C0044. Test drove and watched graph of wheel speed data and graph was smooth and was displaying expected values and no spkes or drop outs noticed while testing.
  • Removed and replaced the front brake pads, rotors and hardware. Cleaned and greased all friction points on the caliper chassis, the guide pins and serviced the calipers pistons. Cleaned the brake rotor mating surface on the hub assembly and applied never seize to prevent rust build up. Secured all bolts and torqued them to spec. Test drove and verified no brake pulsations, grinding, squealing, pulling one way or the other while applying brakes. Job completed.
