- p2122. test drove and watched throttle position values in both throttle body and accelerator pedal. Found that the accelerator pedal sensor was not smooth and consistent as the second sensor. Advise toreplaced accelerator position sensor and relearn sesnor to vehicle.
- Test drove vehicle. Noticed lots of pulsation in wheel and possibly seat indicating all brakes may be heat warped. Remove wheels. Inspect brake rotors and pad linings. Front rotors grooved with <3mm lining remaining. Rear pads at 5mm. All caliper pistons compress. Recommend service to rear calipers and front pads and rotors.
- Job complete. Test driven to confirm all repairs.
- Removed and replaced the front brake pads, rotors and hardware. Cleaned and greased all friction points on the caliper chassis, the guide pins and serviced the calipers pistons. Cleaned the brake rotor mating surface on the hub assembly and applied never seize to prevent rust build up. Secured all bolts and torqued them to spec. Test drove and verified no brake pulsations, grinding, squealing, pulling one way or the other while applying brakes. Job completed.
- Removed and compressed calipers. Cleaned guides and brackets. Lubricated all moving parts and reassembled brakes. Job complete.
