- 4×4 system working normally in 4H and 4L. Switching to and from 4L, vehicle must be in neutral.
- Noticeable vibration coming from rear of vehicle especially 80+mph. Happens on accel and decel. No problems found in vehicle drivetrain. Checked over suspension, under vehicle and hood and no problems to note.
- Customer recently purchased vehicle and requests good check over. They are concerned with transmission and suspension issues.
- Remove wheels from vehicle. Inspect brakes. Computer spin balance. Reinstall wheels to vehicle and torque lug nuts to manufacturer's specifications. All tires balanced ok. All rims spin straight. The tire on the left rear had some noticable hop on spin balancer but not severe. A second test drive seemed to realize that the highway speed shaking was coming from the left rear.
