- Initial codes stored were p053f, p0087, p0140, p2297. fuel pressure and oxygen sensor codes. cleared codes and test drove. p0140, p0191, and p2297 returned. The performance of the engine felt like a restricted catalytic converter. Also found when the low power rough running issue the fuel rail pressure was too low at 101 psi and requesting 2800 psi. could idle engine and fuel pressure would raise and could accelerate and fuel pressure start to ramp up to 2800 and could see pressure drop off again. Verified the low side fuel pressure was good at 90 psi during the fault. Advise to change the high pressure fuel pump and reevaluate. also there is a noted slight engine run on when engine turned off. May have issues with catalytic converter and oxygen sensor.
- completed. test drove and verified fuel rail pressure now matching the requested pressure. the engine seems quieter at idle also. The fuel pump shaft was broken on old pump. One oxygen sensor code returned while testing after repair but light did not come on. Will need further diagnosis for this and other recommendations made at a later date.
- completed. the engine oil should be changed more often there is carbon build up/sludge from engine oil brakeing down.
