Customer states front wheel bearing making noise.
duplicated. does intermittently on launch or just as vehicle coming to a rest. Did not find anything extremely worn or with telltale issue. the noise reminds me of a slap stick condition that could be with rear suspension or driveshaft and transmission mount. lubed the leaf spring pads, checked that driveshaft slip yoke is free to move. the transmission output seal is leaking. Eventually found service information addressing a stick slip issue with the slip yoke of driveshaft. removed the slip uyoke. cleaned old grease and greased up with wheel bearing grease. the lube recommended not readily available but the grease added eliminated the issue. if it returns use the recommended ptfe lube.
left upper ball joint loose
transmission fluid leak at rear of transmission and the trans shudders with tcc engagement at times.
remove rear drive shaft. mark and separate the slip yoke. clean old grease and apply some new grease.
replaced right side hub
replaced left side
CONTROL ARM – Remove & Replace – F150,RWD Upper,One Side – [DOES NOT include alignment.] LEFT UPPER CONTROL ARM
ALIGNMENT – Adjust the caster, camber and toe for the front end.

Flushed out old coolant with new coolant then let car idle to burp out the air in the system then went on a test drive to confirm that there is no more air in the system

Found DTC for cylinder 2 misfire and engine over temperature. Checked fluids, hoses etc. Test drove vehicle. Could not duplicate concern. Followed all diagnostic procedures and found exhaust gases in cooling system to confirm head gasket. Customer ok'd head gasket job. Removed head to find rust on gasket confirming diagnosis.
All work complete. New spark plugs. New oil and filter. New thermostat and water pump. Replaced all coolant. Ran engine to temperature and let cool. Test drove to confirm repair. Cleared all codes. Noted transmission shifts and torque converter clutch engage and disengage. Recommend transmission flush.
resurface heads and vacuum check valves.
Removed one of the cooler lines and ran the transmission fluid through the system until the fluid started coming out clean and red.
