    • Initial codes stored were p053f, p0087, p0140, p2297. fuel pressure and oxygen sensor codes. cleared codes and test drove. p0140, p0191, and p2297 returned. The performance of the engine felt like a restricted catalytic converter. Also found when the low power rough running issue the fuel rail pressure was too low at 101 psi and requesting 2800 psi. could idle engine and fuel pressure would raise and could accelerate and fuel pressure start to ramp up to 2800 and could see pressure drop off again. Verified the low side fuel pressure was good at 90 psi during the fault. Advise to change the high pressure fuel pump and reevaluate. also there is a noted slight engine run on when engine turned off. May have issues with catalytic converter and oxygen sensor.
    • completed. test drove and verified fuel rail pressure now matching the requested pressure. the engine seems quieter at idle also. The fuel pump shaft was broken on old pump. One oxygen sensor code returned while testing after repair but light did not come on. Will need further diagnosis for this and other recommendations made at a later date.
    • completed. the engine oil should be changed more often there is carbon build up/sludge from engine oil brakeing down.

    • p0101, p0171, p0174- these all three should be related to a faulty mass airflow sensor. also advise changining the air filter and cleaning airbox of debris. observed 45 counts on fuel trim and -14 on decel at times and p0101 did reset while testing. P0446 for a vent control performance issue. found the vent solenoid tested operational but found the fuel tank pressure stuck at 4.8 volts and -17 hg. even with fuel cap off and with engine off. Likely a faulty fuel tank pressure sensor but fuel tank needs removed to diagnose fully. Is the fuel pump and fuel sending unit performing properly? would be good time to address any issues with fuel tank removed.
    • Found the ac compressor binding or slipping and ac pressures going high to 300 psi. There was no airflow going across the radiator and cooling fan was free-wheeling and speeding up engine did not help/ THe refrigerant level was low as well. .871 recovered of a 1.6 lb system. Put a large fan in front of the radiator and operated the ac again. now the high side never went above 250 psi and never duplicated a squeal noise from compressor while testing.
    • completed. verfied fuel trims staying near zero after repair and p0101 staying away.
    • completed.
    • coompleted.
    • completed.
    • completed. verified no longer squealing while testing after repair.
